A fresh new semester has begun and with a new year comes new goals and expectations. The best part of beginning a new semester is that along with new classes, students return with new clothes and accessories. However, just when the spring semester begins and classes start to roll, a blizzard strikes New York City and closes all schools the next day. Giving us one more day with Netflix, hot chocolate and our warm beds.
I always loved the excitement of choosing an outfit for the first day back to school. Even though it is a little stressful deciding on what to wear, simplicity is always a safe option and it is a great way to begin a new semester.
The magic of simplicity is the way an outfit can convey so much without you being too overdressed. This Fashionista sports the classic chic look that can easily fit any casual occasion. This is the look that is essential to have and keep. Classic is always in, it’s timeless but you can rock it in your own style.
I love how this Fashionista paired the color-block peacoat with nicely fitted black leggings and ankle booties. To top it all off, like an icing on a cake, she added a knitted black scarf. These are all necessities in a Fashionista’s closet. You will always find a way to wear all these articles of clothing and pair them with different accessories for different types of occasions, such as  attending a career fair on campus to having brunch with friends. Have fun with the simple garments and don’t overthink an outfit too much to the point where it shows. Show off how you would style simple and chic!
One Simple Change: Got a date after school? Wear the peacoat with a little black dress and warm tights in black heels or flats.
