Planning college visits and wondering what to wear? Follow this Fashionista’s lead and you will be set for anything. On days when you are sure to be walking a lot but not sure if you will be indoors or outdoors, an outfit that is stylish yet versatile is key. When I spotted this Fashionista, she was on a tour at the University of Minnesota for future freshman students. She was wearing a relaxed outfit and prepared for any temperature.
This Fashionista was wearing high-waisted denim shorts along with a white detailed tank top. Her outfit was accented by a plaid flannel long sleeve shirt tied at the waist. This versatile outfit was a perfect mix between country and city style. From the waist down she displayed a country style because of her ripped cut off shorts, plaid flannel long sleeve shirt and worn out white canvas sneakers. However, from the waist up she displayed a clean feminine style. She wore a white embroidered tank top along with straightened hair and a pair of classic pearl styled stud earrings. Her style combination was flawless.
Though, more importantly, her outfit was practical for the Minnesota weather. If the sun decided to hide behind the clouds or the sky starts to drizzle rain, this Fashionista is prepared. She could throw on her plaid flannel long sleeve shirt to stay warm. Her sneakers provided not only for a comfortable walking experience but fully cover her feet to keep her additionally warm.
Remember, when attending college tours, you want to make a good impression, you never know who you will run into. Shivering and sweating are not good fashion accessories, so wear layers and be prepared for anything!
One Simple Change: Having a girls night out in the city after your college visit? Leave your flannel shirt in the car and throw on a jeweled jacket in it’s place. Make sure to draw attention to the upper half of your body and you will be ready to mingle with guys all night.
