Beauty and fashion equals pain. That is what people are constantly drilling into girls’ heads. I am here to tell you that you do not have to trudge halfway across campus in a pair of six inch booties or a dress so tight you can barely move. Fashion and beauty can be 100 percent comfortable and you can still have an outfit that is killer.
To narrow things down I’m going to be talking about some fashion essentials that every girl should have in their wardrobe for college. The first item is a pair of joggers. If you truly believe leggings are heaven on earth, you have not experienced joggers. The material is super soft and so breathable, you’ll never feel restricted when you go out or have eaten. Plus I know we all have those days when we don’t wanna wear pants so we throw on a dress; I promise these pants will change your entire outlook on that. They come in all types of styles, colors, and the cutest prints. An added bonus is that they make you butt look SO good, so why not get them?
Next on my list is a body suit. Tons of people will complain about how uncomfortable they look and how there is no way they would wear them. I will be the first to tell you that they are phenomenal. They have changed the style of them completely. They have clear tiny buttons so you won’t have to worry about huge metal buttons popping off on your way to class or bugging you as soon as you sit down. Most are made with cotton so you don’t have that bathing suit tightness. Apart from the coziness, body suits make putting together an outfit so much easier. Take a skirt, for an example. You no longer need to deal with the hassle of tucking your shirt in. Overall, the body suit adds just the right touch to anything you put together.
There’s no doubt you’ll be walking about 10,000 steps a day while on campus, but to walk them in heels? Heck no. To be walking them in a beat up pair of Nikes? Double heck no! My next essential is a good pair of sneakers. The pair I have above are adidas. These shoes are my pride and joy. I can walk miles and miles without getting any blisters. That is one thing I absolutely do not want along with calluses. I know these shoes offer comfort, accessibility and have classmates asking “Oh my gosh, where did you get those shoes?” My final must-have is sunglasses. Protect those eyes at all costs, but definitely look cute doing it!
I hope everyone has a great first month at school and hopefully you can take some of these tips with you because who doesn’t want to have a popping outfit while also feeling like you are just lounging around getting ready for bed?
