WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Any and all Sundays call for brunch. Today, I’m going to show you how to achieve your Sunday’s best. Or shall I say, your Sunday’s vest? Now, it may seem easy to put together your brunch outfit when you are heading out for a casual morning with close friends. The real trick is curating an outfit for a more refined brunch occasion. Mother’s Day just passed and I know all you Fashionista/os rocked amazing ensembles to your city’s country club or favorite brunch spot. Now, Father’s Day is sneaking up on us and who says you can’t treat your Dad to a brunch feast as well? Allow me to demonstrate an example of well thoughtout brunch attire that will leave your parents impressed and still have you comfortable enough to wolf down as many flapjacks as possible.

When creating an outfit perfect for a morning meal, J.Crew dress pants are bound to have you covered. They will be comfortable enough to suit your Sunday needs, and they will be a little bit of a change from your Saturday night attire consisting of distressed denim. Pair your dress pants with a classic button-down and you’re almost ready to go! The element that makes this brunch outfit so fun is the cozy Patagonia vest. The fleece material of the vest makes it perfect for those chilly mornings and also acts as an item to dress your look down. Vests have been sported all over the runways. I think its great to invest in a vest that is versatile with the innate ability to break-up any classic look. To finish it all off, this Fashionisto mixed his neutrals and added some simple Cole Haan oxfords to the look.

One Simple Change: Sundays, unfortunately, also call for running errands. In order to quickly change from your Sunday’s best, simply remove your tie and unbutton a few buttons for an open collar. The day will have started to warm up by now, and if you’re one to run around town when completing your errands, you may want to remove the vest as well.
