For most people, going to brunch is a love/hate relationship. For this event you have not only one occasion to think about dressing for, but two occasions mixed and mashed together, leaving you twice the options and double the confusion.
Breakfast is a hearty meal that is respected and necessary for most. It’s perfect for starting your day off with the right people and the right impression of how your day will follow after. Lunch, on the other hand, is typically a casual get together that is faster paced and better for brief catching up.
So, with these two pretty opposite occasions, combining them into onem it is clear that most will be left a bit distraught. Which end of the “casual” to “classy” spectrum should I be? How can I let my personal style shine through while still respecting the sacred meal of brunch? These are both viable questions to ask when preparing for an outing like this.
For this look, this Fashionista chose a wonderful array of clothes to wear. Starting with the skirt, she wore floral prints which are always cute, classy and well received. This is a timeless touch to any outfit, if you will. That takes care of breakfast. The denim button-down left unbuttoned was perfect for dressing down her look (and keeping her warm—you know how chilly those restaurants can be!). By adding a classic Coach cross-body bag, she added validity to the timelessness that this outfit can behold. Her strappy sandals are cute as ever and just perfect.
As you can see, this is clearly a great way to start off the morning/afternoon (it’s brunch… but what time is it again?).
One Simple Change: Wear this look to dinner by simply changing your strappy sandals for heels! Heels can dress up an entire look, and nothing says you’re ready to go out more than a couple inches of added height.
