After a fun weekend and with a long week of class ahead, there is nothing better to close out the weekend than with a Sunday brunch. Brunch is by far one of my favorite meals, perfect for catching up with friends and reliving the antics from the night before. For those of us in the Seattle area, Scotty Browns in Bellevue is always a favorite and has some of the best breakfast in town.
On my way to blueberry waffles, I spotted this Fashionista in the perfect brunch-ready outfit. The loose fit and back cutouts of her chiffon tank top are great for keeping cool while sitting on a sunny patio. This shirt is perfectly paired with her cropped trousers. Pants with a fun summer pattern help break up the monochromatic aspects of this ensemble and are also quite comfortable. Plus, the length and cut make them appropriate for both casual and formal outings.
By keeping her accessories minimal with only a watch, she lets her pants speak for themselves. But of course, the best accessory of all is school pride. This Fashionista loves her Washington State Cougars and has the mark to prove it. For those of us more worried about needles, the same look can be easily copied with henna. Since summer is the time of flats and flip flops, some extra decoration is a fun way to express yourself and support your favorite team.
One Simple Change: This outfit can easily transform from weekend mimosas to boardroom-ready weekdays. By just adding a blazer and switching out her sandals for classic oxfords, this Fashionista will be all set to rock any internship.
