Saturday mornings are my favorite time to get brunch. Just thinking about warm stacks of French toast, iced chai lattes, fruit salads and omelets makes my mouth water. But nothing tastes as good as great food paired with great style. That’s right, your Saturday brunch outfit really does make those fluffy pancakes taste better!
Whether you are out with family, girlfriends or on a special date, keep in mind that brunch is America’s tea party. Even though we do not have long white gloves, China teacups or doilies, we do have lace, which is feminine, elegant and so pretty. If no one has ever told you, the best time to wear a lace dress is to brunch, and this Fashionista really shows how it is done.
She is wearing a beautiful blue lace dress and her sleeves are long enough so it’s appropriate, but she also shows off the cutout with her lace bandeau. It’s the perfect mix to please the grandparents at the table but also to gain some compliments from fellow Fashionistas who might be around. She wore some classic black Mary Jane sandals, and pulled it all together with a simple shell necklace. This style is so easy, yet so beautiful, and the next time you are heading out for brunch, find some lace in your closet. It’s amazing what wonders a great dress will do for that 10 dollar quiche.
One Simple Change: Just finished your meal and only have 30Â minutes until your next job interview? Throw on a blazer over your lace dress and you are ready to go!
