It took coming to college for me to really appreciate Sundays. No matter what the week or weekend has brought, it’s finally a day to wind down and get your self together for the new week to come. It’s probably the one single day of the week that I can count on to sleep in and know that all of my gal pals aren’t working. By the time we’ve gotten enough beauty sleep, it’s time for the most looked forward to activity of the day: brunch.
Brunch is wonderful for many reasons, but one of my favorites has to be that the dress code is non-existent. The dress code for brunch is simply what you choose to make it. On the Sunday morning you wake up feeling extra rested, you can go the extra mile and wash off last night’s makeup, do your hair and put on the cute outfit you’ve been saving and didn’t get to wear. Of course, on the Sunday morning you wake up not quite feeling 100 percent just yet you can stick with the sweatshirt, messy bun and yoga pants.
I loved this Fashionista’s outfit because she went with my favorite kind of style, keeping it casual and chic. She was able to create a simple and put together look while being minimalistic. Her outfit consisted of a comfy T-shirt dress, a single-chain necklace, black sandals and an oversized handbag. Choosing a striped dress as opposed to a solid color gives her outfit some dimension while honing in on the minimalistic and classic style. Stripes allow the remaining outfit components to stay simple and elegant because the stripes themselves are so bold. The Fashionista executed an ideal brunch outfit effortlessly and simplistically. Whether she heads to the usual local campus spot or decides to venture somewhere new, her and her outfit are ready. No matter what the occasion, it never hurts to go with something you will both look and feel good in!
One Simple Change: Get this outfit campus ready by adding your favorite sneakers and try either bright, solid-colored accessories or keep it simple with the touch of a skinny belt around the waist.
