Somehow a new year has arrived—yay, 2016 is here! The majority of us went away for the winter break to our homes to spend the holidays with our loved ones. However a new semester is right around the corner, which means that we will be reunited with our second family, our beloved friends. For me, it is a tradition to go with them for brunch the first weekend of coming back. It’s, in my mind, the perfect event to catch up with any gossip, wish the best for the New Year and start the semester on good feet.
While looking for the protagonist of my next post, I saw this Fashionista and fell in love with her outfit. She made such a spectacular combination between all of the pieces that I just couldn’t help it. She chose to wear a chic, comfortable and feminine outfit, which is perfect to go out with your friends. She wore a long sleeve black leather sweater with a medium wash blue jeans, along with a pair of black slip on sneakers with leopard print. Leather is a must during the cold season, because of this versatility. The texture is really easy to combine with other pieces, making it ideal to wear to many occasions like going out. Blue jeans are just essential in our wardrobe. Because first of all, they are extremely cozy and second, they go with everything. Finally, in the last couple of years, sneakers have become more fashionable. Nowadays they are not only an item to exercise in, but also a piece that you can wear in a casual way. They go hand in hand with jeans.
Accessories are, in my opinion, the key of this outfit. She made a pretty smart choice by choosing to combine the clothes with a multicolored oversized scarf along with a dark grey, open front wool jacket with leather details. The mix of colors and textures between these two pieces unify the outfit and gives off that chic and artistic vibe. Lastly, the perfect final touch a black leather Marc by Marc Jacobs cross-body bag.
One Simple Change: Because it’s already freezing in many cities, try swapping the wool jacket for a black cashmere coat like this Zara one. Also, try changing the sneakers for a pair of sexy ankle heel booties and you are ready go. Remember to take many pictures!
