Dressing up for brunch can be very exciting, at least for me it is. I can not think of a better way to catch up, gossip and just hang out with my girls. Not only is it a great excuse to look casually fabulous but it’s also the hours of the day in which we can have best of both worlds! Spinach omelette and french fries? YUM.
I was really drawn to this particular Fashionista’s brunch outfit. Her color-block ensemble looked effortless on her. You can never go wrong with rocking the basics, I love the way she turned a simple T-shirt to a knotted crop. By doing so, the shirt sits right on her waist giving her a nice silhouette. The vintage mint midi skirt, found in a local Salvation Army, gave her a flawless flare from her waist til the hem. The tan sandals looked great with her outfit. When color-blocking picking the shoe color can be a little tricky, but she worked it and chose well by going with tan sandals. The best part of dressing up T-shirts and basic dresses are the accessories! I can not stress enough how important it is to have at least one gold and silver statement piece. The Fashionista accessorized her outfit with a gold statement piece from H&M.
The key to a perfect brunch outfit is simplicity. Always go for a classic look in which you feel the most comfortable in and rock out with a cool statement necklace.
One Simple Change: Switch the basic tee for a more fitting crop or triangle top for a date and/or add a pair or heels for a girls’ night out! A simple change can go a long way.
