As we kick off February, it’s easy to get caught up in the winter blues. The months seem long and you forgot how much you miss the sunshine. The weather is bitterly cold and it feels like the snow will never melt. Finding the motivation to dress cute for class can seem near impossible. One trick: keep it simple! You don’t need more than a basic pair of black jeans, a graphic T-shirt, and a denim jacket to create an effortlessly chic and trendy look that’s appropriate for class.
I stopped this Fashionista on her way to lecture. Her crisp denim jacket immediately caught my eye. Although this particular jacket is vintage (so cool!), I found a similar Levi’s jacket. She threw her jacket over a concert Yeezy T-shirt, but any graphic T-shirt will create the same effect. Quick tip: If you don’t find any graphic T-shirts you like from the women’s section or if you want a more oversized look, try looking in the men’s department. Stores like H&M have cute and affordable T-shirts, like this Rolling Stones one.
This Fashionista kept it simple on the bottom with a flattering pair of black denim. Everyone needs a good pair of black jeans that go with everything! This particular pair is from Topshop. She finished off her look with a pair of edgy black booties with chain detail.
To transition this into a night look, this Fashionista could easily swap her denim jacket with a leather jacket and her black booties with a pair of simple black pumps.
