It’s that time of year again, time to celebrate love! One of my favorite occasions to dress up for is a Valentine’s day celebration, or as I like to call it a Galentine’s day celebration to celebrate your best gal pals. My advice for what to wear is that a little black dress is always appropriate for any special occasion.
This Fashionista is rocking a shadow stripe sheath dress from Forever 21. I love the sheer long sleeves paired with the semi sheer striped body of the dress. It has a lot going on with the textures while not over doing it. Because of the stripes and sheer sleeves she left out a chunky necklace and paired it with a thin layered necklace to let the dress speak for itself. This Fashionista said she likes to be comfortable and is already tall so she paired the dress with a nice pair of black booties. If you are a heel girl, go for it! For this occasion she went all-black with a pop of dark red and kept it simple, but I mean who doesn’t love black? I love how the Fashionista worked red into her outfit for a Valentine’s day celebration for a subtle pop of festive color.
One Simple Change: Turning this dress into casual weekend wear is easy, pair your all-black outfit with a denim jacket. Throw on that casual jacket over the top, maybe put your hair in a cute messy ponytail and now you have a weekend outfit! I love being able to outfit repeat, but nobody will notice if you have that denim jacket to dress it down.
