Whether it’s a birthday party, holiday or family get-together, every girl loves an excuse to get all dressed up. Classes and extracurriculars can get tiring, so it’s nice to be able to celebrate a special occasion—no matter what it is! I love this Fashionista’s choice of dress because it’s such an abstract print. It’s pretty much guaranteed that nobody at the party will be wearing anything like it. Paired over some black tights, it’s a great dressy outfit for any celebration this time of year.
Layering is important during these frigid months. This Fashionista’s long, black peacoat with toggles is perfect for the cold weather. Leave it open to show off the dress on a more mild day, or close it and add a scarf in the snow.
Suede was the breakout fabric on the spring 2015 runways. Jason Wu showed off army green dresses at his show, while Chloé presented a belted trench. Several other designers incorporated the medium into their designs as well, and not just in their shoes. Suede is soon going to be seen in tons of different pieces and in a variety of colors. While pastels will be prominent in the spring, this Fashionista chose a black pair of lace-up booties for her winter wardrobe. This pair is perfect to walk around in, as they have a wedge heel and soles with great traction. They’re a much better option for girls who prefer to not stumble around in four-inch heels!
One Simple Change: Adding a long cardigan over this dress would make it perfect for a class presentation!
