Heading into the final stretch of the semester, students begin to feel the pressure of finishing strong in their studies. There’s more time spent drinking coffee and less time spent on appearance. The accompanying feeling of slacking in our every day appearance is known all too well by everyone. Well, almost everyone.
There are those few students who manage to continue rockin’ stylish looks, even in the midst of school chaos and long nights. I am often in admiration of these people, and this Fashionista was one of those I found myself admiring.
I found this Fashionista looking comfy in class wearing an ensemble that despite being minimal, stands out from the sea of sweatpants and sneakers. Her maroon combat boots by Guess are what caught my eye first. They were a refreshing sight that I thought were unique among the typical black combat boots every girl owns.
This pop of color perfectly compliments her dark olive green knit sweater. She wore her sweater with the basic staple, the versatile black legging and finished the outfit with a simple, but beautiful, gold necklace piece that stood out against the sweater.
People often give up on showing their personal style at this time of the school year because it is seen as too much effort in a time of project deadlines. It’s perfectly okay to feel that way, but this Fashionista proves that not every outfit has to be a full on effort to be stylish, and that a student can remain comfortable in class while looking good.
One Simple Change: Finished the last class of the day and ready for relaxing drinks and dinner with friends? Combat boots are a great shoe style for traveling around campus in, but try switching them for a pair of heeled booties to make your outfit a little more sophisticated for an evening out.
