When walking around campus I always seem to pick the trendy Fashionista out of the crowd; I mean it only seems right because us Fashionistas basically run the world—right, Beyoncé? On a different note, I decided to take a leap of faith and see what the male population was up to. It came to my surprise that there were a lot of Fashionistos out there who don’t get the credit they deserve. So for all those Fashionistos out there—this one’s for you.
I feel like there’s something about waking up at 9:00 a.m. on a weekly basis for class that makes everyone just want to throw on a pair of sweatpants and go. It takes less than five minutes to do and they’re comfortable, so it only seems right (hint—it’s not). What girl sees a guy in sweatpants and thinks, “wow, look at those sweatpants! They make him look so attractive,” (that’s right—none). Instead, I salute the guys who aren’t afraid to show off their stylish side.
This Fashionisto definitely hit it out of the park with a very subtle boho-inspired look. The Aztec print top includes bright colors that offer a bold look and an attention-grabbing quality; they also show off his sweet tattoos. Pairing it with a simple pair of khaki pants, rather than jeans, was key to making the top stand out. This Fashionisto decided to go with a pair of black Vans sneakers to make his outfit more casual, making it the perfect look for a day full of classes. Lastly, guys that accessorize are guys that succeed. This Fashionisto finished his look off with a pair of oval sunglasses and he totally rocked them, too.
One Simple Change: Done with classes and ready for date night? No need to spend hours getting ready. When the time comes, throw on a dark colored cardigan and ditch the shades for a date-ready look. Yes guys—it’s that simple.
