The time has finally arrived. After four long weeks of countless Netflix marathons and sleeping in, the spring semester is back in full swing. I know it’s rough the first couple of weeks back, especially when you’re waking up for your 7:30 a.m. class, but the second semester is a great time to start fresh! With brand new professors, schedules and activities who’s to say you can’t go for a new stylish look to boot? The cold weather makes it easy for us to get the urge to reach for the sweatpants when heading out for class, but take a look at how this Fashionista stayed warm, cozy and most importantly stylish while getting ready to take on her spring semester.
I was initially drawn to this look because of the oversized sweater and vest pairing. It gave off a very put together look while still maintaining the comfort and warmth needed for class. Worn with a great pair of skinny jeans and riding boots it made for a clean and preppy look, perfect to set your best foot forward in the new semester. I know that jeans can seem somewhat taxing to the legging lovers out there, but a great pair of super soft stretch jeans can take your look up a notch without sacrificing the comfort. Riding boots like these are also great for the long walks to class on campus.
One Simple Change: This outfit can easily go from morning class to an evening out by swapping the riding boots for a great pair of heeled booties and trading the vest for some metallic accessories. Downsize the tote to a cute cross body bag and you’re ready for an evening out on the town.
