Picking out what to wear to class can be a real pain, especially if you wake up ten minutes late for your 8:00 a.m. and are scrambling through your room. I caught up with a classmate whose style shines regardless of the day or hour, to discuss what she likes to wear to class and what being a Fashionista means to her.
Similar to myself, this Fashionista values clothes that are passed down to her, especially from her grandma, which is where she acquired her cream oversized coat. Oversized coats are a must for the winter season because they allow for layering. Being a student in Boulder means that you never really know if the week is going to be 50 degrees or five, so a versatile closet is definitely a must.
What a CU student can be sure of is that the sun will most likely be shining, seeing that Boulder has an average of 300 days of sunshine. Her sunglasses, given to her by a friend, are perfect for walking from class to class. Her lace-up boots are also ideal for trekking through campus. While it’s definitely nice to be fashionable during the day, comfort is key, especially if it’s a day when you are running around to five classes. Though her boots were bought in Germany, similar styles can be purchased from Inkkas.
Not only is this Fashionista’s outfit practical, but she really puts time into her accessory choice. Statement cuffs are one of my favorite things to accessorize with and she certainly does this well. Her gold bracelet and earring choice really pull the outfit together and show her attention to detail.
One Simple Change: This outfit is not only perfect for class, but with the simple change of boots to booties, it is a perfect fit for a night on the town!
