WHAT TO WEAR: Class

So it’s Monday, it’s laundry day, and you just slept through the twenty alarms you set for yourself. You’re in panic mode, and looking cute and/or put together might not be the highest up on your list. Have no fear because I am here to help you put together that perfect, no fuss, I-don’t-have-time-to-look-cute-outfit to ward away your Monday blues.

Let us begin by looking at a prime example of an effortless class-ready look that does not require too much effort or time yet still looks chic and put together. I caught this Fashionista on her way out of class and boy, am I lucky I did because she executes the exact look we’re going for oh so very well.

This Fashionista paired her comfy lululemon leggings with a chic, gray wool trench coat and trendy New Balance sneakers for a complete and flawless look. She looks the perfect mix of casual and cute. She looks comfortable but also like she’s not trying too hard which is important to any class outfit.

In general, when dressing for class, putting too much though and effort into it is pointless. Let’s be honest, you’re most likely going to be tired, cranky and in a rush. One should always have a couple staple pieces that they feel good in and are no fuss—the ideal combo for getting ready in the morning. Putting on your favorite gray sweater and ripped jeans is totally fine, even if you wore them last week.  Take a pointer from this Fashionista and just add some accessories like a hat or scarf. This will give the perfect touch and will allow some change-up from last week’s look.

One Simple Change: Feeling a bit more feminine today or going somewhere after class and want to look more stylish? Try pairing a comfortable skirt, like this denim one, with that favorite gray sweater, trench coat and sneakers. You still look totally laid back but slightly dressier and ready for a day in the city.
