Going to class at such a large university, practically any clothing choice is acceptable. Unlike many high schools which have uniforms, most universities do not, giving students the freedom to express themselves through their clothing choices. Seeing all the unique and quirky clothing ensembles is one of my favorite parts about college. As college students, it is so easy to sleep in and have to quickly throw on an outfit. In winter, this makes it much harder to put together a nice outfit with all the necessary layers. Now that spring is quickly approaching, T-shirt weather is here, making it easier for last minute outfit decisions. Let’s take a closer look at this Fashionista’s fun, quirky outfit, perfect for running to class.
Starting with her top. Hawaiian shirts are always in, if you are bold enough to wear it. If you don’t own one, I’m sure your dad probably has one in the back of his closet from the good ol’ glory days. My parents have plenty from their honeymoon to Hawaii. And if your parents do not have any, you can get one here or here, or practically any thrift store. She pairs this shirt with a gnarly pair of high-waisted acid-wash jeans. There are plenty of stores which hold these, but they are also super easy to make. All you need is a pair of jeans and some bleach. For her shoes, she chose the trendy and comfortable Nike Huaraches. These are great city shoes, especially with all the walking she has to do. She accessories her outfit with a classic ’90s chocker, some fun rings, and a combination of different earnings. She also sports the Fjällräven KÃ¥nken backpack. This Norwegian brand has been around since the ’60s, but its popularity skyrocketed just this year. This outfit is simple, but still unique and very trendy. It is perfect for going to class on a warm city day.
One Simple Change: If this Fashionista replaces her Hawaiian shirt for a crop top, she would be ready for some tailgating with friends.
