I think it’s safe to say that everyone is excited to see the temperature rising. Personally, I am so happy to be putting my winter coats away for the season. It’s so refreshing to see crisp whites and blues in my closet and fluid blouses and dresses perfect for the spring winds. As I was sitting outside enjoying the beautiful sun, I noticed this Fashionista strutting across campus. I had to stop and ask her about her look. This Fashionista has the perfect outfit for a full day of classes. Her effortlessly chic look screamed, “I can take on anything today throws at me and I’ll look fabulous at the same time!”
The first piece that caught my eye was her ripped boyfriend jeans. All things vintage have been so popular lately. Digging for rare finds in local vintage shops is quickly replacing trips to the mall. The hunt is becoming part of the fun involved with shopping. Her jeans are the perfect piece for a day of classes. They easily bring a casual feel into any look. Next, she paired her fabulous jeans with a lace-up blouse. I love the lace-up blouses that we have been seeing lately. It is a great way to add a fun detail to a simple top. She perfectly matched the top with a lacey bralette. The lace-up heels were the perfect finish to this look. The chunky heel is trendy, yet practical for walking across campus.
One Simple Change: This look can easily be taken from class appropriate to formal. Exchange the jeans for a black leather pencil skirt and add some bold jewelry. Finish it with a smoky eye and a dark lipstick and you’re ready!
