I know what you’re thinking: it’s 7:00 a.m. and you cannot find anything in your closet to wear. This task wouldn’t be so difficult if you could simply dress for the nice warm weather outside. Unfortunately, in college, we have to account for the fact that our classes are air-conditioned and when you dress for the mid 70-degree weather outside, you will freeze inside!.Don’t worry, though; I have some advice to help save you.
This is where layering becomes essential to your fall school wardrobe. This Fashionista kills the layering game. By choosing a dress as her base layer, she will be perfectly cool while walking around campus outside. Then, when she gets to class she can throw on her cardigan to keep her warm in the air-conditioned temps. Lastly, she added some black ankle booties to her look. I think the combination of booties and cardigan with her T-shirt dress is the perfect transitional fall look.
Of course when putting together an outfit you never want to forget accessories! My absolute favorite thing about this look is that it partially accessorizes itself. This simple black T-shirt dress features a cutout that gives the illusion of a choker with the dress. Therefore, she only needed some simple accessories to complete her look. The addition of a simple gold bangle and wooden bead bracelet added just enough to tie the whole outfit together.
Although this Fashionista chose to wear this look to class, I love it because it can easily be transitioned into the night. If you swap out the booties for some wedges you are ready for a nice dinner date with your best friend!
