In the freezing cold temperatures of Kent, Ohio, it can sometimes be hard to stay fashionable while also staying warm. The temperatures dipped into the negatives this past week and it was frigid! I love sweaters and blanket scarves, but sometime feel like I am falling into a fashion rut in these cold winter months. That’s why I was so impressed when I spotted this Fashionista on my way to class! She managed to pull off a cold weather look that was both chic and stylish.
This Fashionista’s ensemble remains casual enough for running in-between classes yet also shows that she put effort into her outfit. I am particularly obsessing over the black leather top paired with the gold statement necklace. Interestingly, her necklace is different from the usual bold baubles we tend to see with statement necklaces. The gold metal work reminds me of a piece of hammered metal art, which is so cool!
Ankle boots are my new favorite winter shoe. While I own too many knee-high boots to count, I love ankle boots because they do not cut off the leg, which provides an elongated look. Her taupe ankle boots added another element of color to the outfit, and the black patch detail tied in with the rest of her look.
This outfit can easily be taken from class to grab coffee with friends or to an after class meeting, making it perfect for any Fashionista on the go. Not only will you be acing your class, but your winter wardrobe as well!
One Simple Change: Swap out the jeans for a circle skirt and patterned tights for an effortless date night or night out with the girls look!
