While the rest of the country is bogged down in the snow, in Florida the cold weather is just accompanied by cold, wet rain. I mean come on Florida, if you are going to be cold can you at least have snow instead of rain? As a result of this dreary weather, putting on any sort of clothing that is socially acceptable takes a lot of effort.
Today’s Fashionisto shows us how to take comfortable, classic pieces and create an incredibly chic look that can transform from a relaxed outfit to wear at home to an outfit that is perfect for class on a dreary day and is still comfy and follows today’s trends.
For his look, today’s Fashionisto stayed trendy by layering his simple white hoodie with a classic medium wash denim jacket. To continue with the look, he also wore navy jogger pants in a quilted pattern to follow the athleisure trend that runway shows such as the fall 2015 menswear show by Dior Homme recently showed, such as this look. To finish off the look he wore black leather ankle boots, black wayfarer style sunglasses and last but certainly not least the most amazing Marc by Marc Jacobs leather dark green tote bag that adds such a great pop of color to the outfit. Marc by Marc Jacobs has a similar bag available in a nylon material.
Though this outfit is casual, the way the pieces work together creates a minimalist style that is super popular at the moment. Today’s Fashionisto wore this outfit to a three-hour lab class we have together and not only caught the attention of me, but other people who were in the class. The athleisure style is perfect for class as it is not only comfortable for a dreary day on campus, but also fashionable.
