WHAT TO WEAR: Class

If you’re anything like me, these last three weeks before summer have me daydreaming about the beach and wanting to break out my sandals. Unfortunately, the weather isn’t quite on the same page as me. So, how do you channel your inner summer lust while walking to class on a windy day? This week’s Fashionista nailed it.

Her casual outfit is perfect for a spring day full of classes. She chose to pair a tank top with a high neckline with an oversized, lightweight sweater. Often times we think of layering as a winter and fall thing, but for unpredictable spring weather a little light layering is never a bad idea. Her sweater is completed with a cute graphic to add a splash of quirkiness (and to show that, like me, she is so ready for summer).

On the lower half, she paired her denim shorts with a pair of Chuck Taylor Converse. I swear by my Chucks. They’re not only comfortable but they go with pretty much anything. When in doubt, throw on your Converse like this Fashionista and you’re set!

To finish off the look she added a pair of sunglasses, a necklace and some stacked bracelets. First of all, who knew TOMS shoes made awesome sunglasses? Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories because there are so many fun options to choose from. This Fashionista chose a funky-shaped pair to match her personality. She also threw on a few of her Alex and Ani bracelets. Serving as a “grown up” charm bracelet, these are all over college campuses right now. Around her neck she tapped into another popular trend—chokers. We all remember those little black chokers from the ’90s. Well, guess what? They’re back. In this Fashionista’s case, she opted for a dressier route with a dainty gold chain and pendant.

One Simple Change: Tie the lightweight sweater around your waist if the temperature begins to heat up for a perfect look for warm weather!
