When you think about summer, you usually think about T-shirts, shorts and binge-watching Netflix in your room all day. However, for some college students, like me, summer is all about taking summer classes to make sure you graduate on time. If you are the type of person that refuses to give your outfit a second thought when it’s 90-degrees outside, to each their own! However, if you are a Fashionista/o like myself, this outfit is the perfect “first day of summer classes” look.
This Fashionista’s outfit is all about mixing style with comfort. My idea of a perfectly casual New York City outfit is wearing anything army green, donning bold jewelry and wearing some slip-on shoes. While this Fashionista’s T-shirt creates a comfortable look, the army green vest makes this outfit look cool, calm and collected. The length of the jean makes this outfit appropriate for the warm summer weather, and the slip-on leather shoes gives the impression that this Fashionista is ready if she needs to rush to class. Her statement necklace and ring tie this outfit together, and create the perfect mix of edgy and girly. This Fashionista’s ponytail also gives us the impression that she needs no distractions when working on her assignments and is constantly on the go.
One Simple Change: Looking to meet up with friends after class? Trade in the slip-on shoes for some open-toed booties, swap the roomy bag for a cross-body and throw on some bold lipstick for a night on the town.
