WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Cold weather calls for warm sweaters! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we can expect Atlanta to get very chilly in the next few weeks. That’s okay! We Fashionista/os know what to do to stay stylish in the upcoming season.

It seems like the best way to remain efficiently fashionable in the cold weather is to pack on the layers. That means that besides the need to stay warm, color coordination is an important factor when getting dressed to go outside. If it’s windy, you can throw on a mustard yellow top with an olive green coat. Or like this Fashionista, you can keep it simple with tones of black, white and gray. Just be wary of neutral tones being prone to getting dirty.

To do this look, you’ll need a long, gray cardigan and an off-white crop top. Neutral colored coats and cardigans are a great purchase because it doesn’t clash with anything in your closet. I love the simplicity of this outfit while still remaining cute and comfortable. It’s important to stay warm in the cold weather because what’s the point of looking fabulous if your nose is running and you’re sneezing so hard to the point your hat falls off?Do yourself a favor and grab some thick leggings and tall socks.

For a little something extra to add to your outfit, keep in mind that achromatic combinations are in. Wool hats are always easy items to put with an outfit, especially when you just want to wear black leggings and boots. Plus they’re uber warm. When choosing what boots to wear, try picking booties with a slight heel so your legs appear longer. This Fashionista has the right idea pairing black bottoms with black booties, so that her legs look slimmer therefore longer.

One Simple Change: Switch the wool hat to a beanie and add a scarf when it starts getting really cold. Remember that efficiency can always be stylish! If you know you’re on the verge of getting sick, abandon the booties and throw on those UGGs that have been waiting to be worn since autumn began.
