On her way out to a concert, this Fashionista caught my eye. The outfit she put together was not only stylish, but it grabbed my attention because she broke one of the oldest style rules: wearing black and brown together. I have been weary in the past of this style rule, but people who put together outfits that blend the two colors together so well, such as her, are starting to change my mind. This Fashionista was able to put together a look that was eye-catching but also comfortable, and when going to concert that is the perfect balance.
This Fashionista started out with a simple black long sleeved top tucked into a pair of distressed denim shorts. Though the main portion of the outfit is chic, the real beauty lies in the details. She paired accessories that were both black and brown to complete the entire look. On her feet, she featured a pair of studded gladiator sandals, and she matched the sandals with her textured brown belt. On top, this Fashionista chose her round cross-body bag and a pair of circular sunglasses. Lastly, she paired the look with a vintage watch that features a humorous text on it. With so many details in one outfit, it is easy to over-do it; however, she was able to accessorize with such skill that they add to the overall look, rather than detract from it.
Now that summer has officially landed in Michigan, this Fashionista’s outfit is the perfect example of what to wear to summer concerts and music festivals. She proves that you are able to be stylish while not sacrificing comfort, which is important while out at a show.
One Simple Change:Â Going to be walking around all day? Swap out the sandals for a pair of sneakers or booties to keep your feet comfortable.
