Hey there Fashionista/os! Now that summer is in full swing, we are all excited to kick back and catch up with friends and family. Whether it is a shopping trip, farmer’s market taste test or even a midnight bonfire, summer is full of laughter and fun.
On these busy days, I sometimes do not have time to change my outfit in the evening. Sometimes, I just don’t know what to wear during the day or during the night. In Iowa, the days can be really hot and the nights really cold, so it is crucial to wear an outfit that is prepared for both types of weather.
My Fashionista is definitely prepared for these weather changes. This look is perfect for strolling the streets of downtown or going to see a local play. My Fashionista is sporting an off-the-shoulder boho print dress with a red bandana around the neck. The bandana/ascot trend is really in this season. She accessorized this look with something blue; a pair of turquoise stud earrings. Just the pop of color needed to break down the red in the outfit. She finished off the look with a tan clutch bag and a pair of taupe chunky wedges.
One Simple Change: During the weekend, evenings can get chilly. Bonfires with friends are a good way to stay warm and catch up with friends on the weekend. Or maybe a local concert is more your style. To keep this look boho for the weekend, wear a chunky knit cardigan for added warmth. If the heels aren’t your style, slip on some espadrilles. Not only are they comfortable, but they will pair perfectly with the boho ensemble. Switch up your hair from flowy waves to a topknot for a more casual look.
