Even during the summer months, I have the hardest time staying away from black when it comes to my own personal style. Mainly because black is that perfect in-between of being able to be effortlessly dressed up or dressed down without looking too casual.
This Fashionista is sporting one of my favorite go-to looks. The thing I find so appealing about this look is how versatile the pieces are and how the outfit can be worn during every season with only small adjustments made to the details.
The flannel look is perfect for a brunch date or a shopping trip downtown. It is simple, yet totally cute because of the accent shades and lace-up ankle booties. One of the biggest trends I have seen on the market right now is the ripped knee look paired with high waisted jeans. This Fashionista created this look herself by simply taking a pair of old black denim pants and carefully cutting a line above each knee while fraying the seams to get the desired look. I highly recommend trying this out because it can save you money and is really easy to do.Â
One Simple Change: As I said before, this look is super versatile and can be worn during many different occasions. To change this look from day to night, all you have to do is ditch the flannel and shades and replace it with a faux or leather jacket. You can stand out even more by wearing a bold lip color and adding more accessories. The look is edgier than the flannel look, but works perfect for a concert or night out at the bars.
