Although my dream was to have spent my spring break at Paris Fashion Week strolling Parisian streets and attending prestigious shows, I instead spent my staycation stalking fashion bloggers and scrolling through Instagram for glimpses of looks from the runways. Some of the most inspiring looks were not seen on the runways but on the Paris streets, exploding with looks that included a ton of different denim styles and statement pieces such as fur coats and printed skirts.
Pulling inspiration from a number of bloggers, celebrities, and icons, this Fashionista decided to put her own twist by wearing a more casual denim look, mixing denim washes for less of a monochromatic look and more of a pop of color in her all-black ensemble. She paired her black button-down blouse with a pair of ripped, black denim jeans with fishnet tights underneath, and black heeled booties. The black booties and fishnets added an edge and dressed up her ensemble, but were still comfortable enough to be worn all day. To top it off, she threw on a light wash denim jacket to pull her look together and keep her warm. Having a single pop of color within her light wash denim jacket allowed this Fashionista to bring some color into her look, contrasting her otherwise all-black outfit.
With an outfit so casual whilst also being comfortable, this Fashionista is able to sport this look while running errands, out with friends, or even to class. Accessorizing with a crossbody bag that could be switched out for her backpack, this Fashionista shows how denim on denim can be easily worn in our everyday lives. Although some of the styles found on the streets of Paris Fashion week may seem hard to incorporate in our normal, everyday lives, we are able to easily pull inspiration and trends from them into our own closets, even in the most simplest of ways.
