My favorite fall fashion staple? That’s easy—flannels! They’re cute, comfy and ever so versatile. Whether you’re going to class, taking a quick shopping trip or even having a girls night out, a flannel adds the perfect flare to any outfit. This Fashionista’s outfit can be turned in three different styles, all using the same clothing items to make it easy to change up your look throughout the day.
Our first look includes a wine and cream-colored flannel, layered underneath an olive green utility jacket and paired with a dark wash distressed jean. This look works for a chillier fall day, perfect for a walk to class or lunch date with friends. For the second look, this Fashionista simply took of the jacket and unbuttoned the flannel to reveal a plain black shirt underneath. This is a more casual look, but can still be considered dressy because of the adorable accent of the diamond stud earrings. For our last look, our Fashionista took off the flannel and tied it around her waist. With the heeled booties, this is a perfect look for a night out.

As college students, this is key. Flannels can be added to any fall outfit and are easy to find at a local thrift store. The baggier the better, in my book! Also, when choosing the perfect flannel-inspired outfit, don’t be afraid to mix in different fall colors. This adds to the overall look, and brings out the preppy/boho look that I LOVE.
