If you didn’t know finals had arrived by the excessive line at Starbucks all week, you can tell by the fashion of our peers here at UNCW. The Fashionistas/os of the Dub have been rocking Nike shorts, baggy T-shirts and sneakers. However, it is possible to rock a laid back look that is comfortable and pulled together for a week of chaos and all-nighters.
This Fashionisto was spotted rocking neutrals all over. From his worn-in sneakers to his khakis and white T-shirt, he blends into the calm of campus during finals week. A sweatshirt like his is perfect for hanging around the air conditioned Randall Library, cramming until the early hours. His neutrals make it easy to hide out studying and avoid being spotted by distracting friends when you’ve got a huge paper due in the morning.
While sneakers will keep your toes cozy in the chilly library air, they are also ideal for speed walking over to your next exam when you’ve overslept. The khaki colored pants that our Fashionisto sports are comfortable for running between buildings trying to catch your professor at the last minute, rather than wearing something slouchy and unkept. Appearances count when you’re trying to score points last minute with a professor!
One Simple Change: Trying to head out to downtown Wilmington for a study break or date night by the river? No time to run home? Trade in your khakis for a pair of jeans, or throw a pair of cool sneakers on to refresh your look.
