It’s that time of fall semester we all know too well, but dread all the same: Exam Season. The amount of hours you spend studying is almost equal to the amount of time you spend crying and/or panicking over studying. It’s an emotional roller coaster for everyone. Everyone is just counting down the days until they no longer are imprisoned in the pages and pages of study notes and can, once again, be the irresponsible college kid they truly are.
I ran into this Fashionista outside of Bobst, NYU’s infamous library. Whether it be for its architecture or the number of sleeping students you’ll find inside, Bobst is a hot spot, especially during exams.
Unlike the rest of the students, milling around in between exams with dark circles and looking relatively stressed out, this Fashionista looked cool, calm and collected. The best part? Her outfit even reflected that.
Layering a black fur and leather vest over a blue toned, floral blouse, this Fashionista combined two fall essentials and created the epitome of perfection. She finishes the outfit with destroyed black skinny jeans and a neutral pair of booties.
This Fashionista looks like she is ready for some photo shoot, but really, she is off for another exam or study session in Bobst. Nothing says you are serious like a good pair of booties and a fur vest. A loved pair of black skinny jeans combines comfort and style. All in all, this Fashionista not only aced her exams, but she scored an A+ on her fashion sense.
One Simple Change: Just take your last exam and find out there is a party to celebrate the ending of exams? Once you realize you don’t have enough time to completely re-work your outfit for the party, swap your floral blouse for a simple white knitted sweater. Not only with this double the warmth for the dropping temperatures, but leave you looking put together, anything but like you had exams all day.
