After months and weeks of countless quizzes, papers and group projects, the quarter is finally over. The finals taken earlier this week also mark the end of this school year, meaning summer is finally here! Whether you have an internship lined up, a job or something else, I’m sure you’ll have at least this weekend to relax before you start with your summer plans. If you are planning on catching up with some old friends from your hometown, this week’s Fashionista shows what to wear when heading on a night out with friends.
The Fashionista for this week wears a green tank top with gold and black embroidering all over and on the top edge of the shirt. She also wears a pair of black velvet pants and burgundy colored booties. For accessories, the Fashionista has a variety: a bright orange scarf, a pair of dangling earrings, a necklace to match and a silver ring with a blue stone on it.
This look is perfect for a night out. The embroidered tank top is appropriate for the summer season and the velvet pants although these might be too warm to wear during the day are perfect for those early summer nights when it’s not quite hot yet. The heeled booties are a must, of course, when going out. The jewelry and scarf give the whole ensemble a vintage twist. The scarf also doubles up by giving extra warmth if the night happens to be a bit chilly but not enough for a jacket.
One Simple Change: Running errands during the day before going out with friends? Wear a pair of lace up sandals or flats instead of the booties, that way you don’t tire yourself out ahead of time.
