Whether you’re single or wifed up, all girls look forward to this night of the week. It’s GNO and it’s time to loosen up and have some fun. Doesn’t matter what night of the week it is, you and your girls know the recipe for a good time. So whether it’s a wine night or cocktails and bites out, make it a night to remember!
This Fashionista looked urban-chic stepping out for some wine Wednesday fun at a new restaurant in D.C.. She’s bringing NYC to the streets of Foggy Bottom in an outfit that’s cute enough for a night out, but not too sexy for a girl’s night. Although let’s not forget, any GNO is still a chance to attract the opposite sex.
I love that this Fashionista kept it classic with a black and white pattern, and that she still found a way to make this fashion statement her own. The leather jacket and black sneaker wedges are a fabulous way to foreshadow fall, but her fitted romper reminds us that summer is not a distant memory quite yet. This is an interesting time of year because the weather isn’t quite here nor there. Some days are hot enough for shorts, but other days you’re grabbing your leather jacket on the way out the door. Is it summer or fall, who really knows!
It’s the part of the season that’s fun for fashion because Fashionistas/os can incorporate both their summer and fall wardrobes to create some killer outfits that totally work for these two to three weeks of bipolar weather. For me, it’s the perfect time for jean shorts, a chambray shirt and gray booties or a mini dress paired with a cropped motorcycle jacket. So take a look around your closet and play a fun game of mix-n-match; I promise you’ll be surprised with what you come up with.
One Simple Change:Â For a date night, I would swap the romper out for either a flirty dress, or a skirt and top. It’s a little more feminine for a first date. I would still keep the sneaker wedges, but if the date sounds like it’s going to be more formal try a pair of strappy heels or a pointed-toe pump. Another tip: an edgy yet girly look like this looks BOSS with a messy ponytail full of tousled curls. Don’t be afraid to mix up your hairdos as well. Trust me, you have a beautiful face and your date will be happy you’re showing it off. Have fun!
