Graduation day is finally here! The excitement of graduation brings many new possibilities. From graduation parties to the thrill of heading off to college or even starting a full-time job, graduation is a time to reflect, celebrate and prepare for what the future has to offer.
While scouring the city for possible Fashionistas/os, I stopped this Fashionisto in Downtown Portland, as he was heading to his cousin’s high school graduation. This Fashionisto looked dapper as he wore a white dress shirt, gray slacks and Italian leather dress shoes. The simple white dress shirt and tie make him look formal, yet not too formal. By not wearing a suit jacket, this Fashionisto makes formal wear look casual and cool. The gray slacks also add another dimension to his look, making him appear more business casual, yet stylish.
The one thing I really like about this Fashionisto’s outfit is his tie. The tie is formal, yet has a lot of character. As a Portlander would say, his tie is very “hipster-chic.” The base navy color makes his tie appear more formal, while the additional colors of pink and white suggest that the tie has a more relaxed and whimsical feel.
Another thing I really liked about the Fashionisto’s outfit were his shoes. While talking to the Fashionisto, he kept on saying how his shoes were his favorite. He talked about the high quality of Italian leather and how they were the perfect shoes for this occasion. I couldn’t agree more with this Fashionisto. His shoes were the perfect mix of high fashion and high quality.
