Entering your freshman year of college can be challenging. Whether it’s getting comfortable in your tiny dorm room, or trying to master the technique of good note-taking, everything will seem like a foreign language. However, the one thing that made me my freshman year easier was going Greek. Joining a sorority not only gave me a home away from home, but it also led me to thrive in leadership, academics and volunteer work. It allowed me to become the best version of myself, while also encouraging over 100 women in my chapter to do the same. Yet, before any potential new members get to experience this amazing ride, they still have to make it through recruitment! The first days of recruitment are all about first impressions, so it’s crucial to look your very best, yet still comfortable for the long days ahead.
This Fashionista is wearing the perfect outfit for the first day of recruitment, Welcome Round! Her soft shorts are my favorite part of this outfit because of their fit. The loose fit makes it a great item for Welcome Round because you’ll spend a lot of time on buses, and nothing is worst than tight clothes in a hot area. The simplicity of the shorts allows her to wear a cute patterned crop top. If you’re going to wear a crop top, make sure your pants are high enough so that no skin shows. This outfit is then tied together with a pair of black suede heels. If this outfit doesn’t say go Greek, I don’t know what does!
One Simple Change: If you’re not comfortable walking in heels all day for class, swap them out for a pair of cute sandals or flats.
