As we say goodbye to finals and hello to the holidays, we can all leave our T-shirts and yoga pants alone as the holiday parties approach.
At these kinds of events, finding something to wear can be quite confusing. People can show up in funny holiday sweaters, cute velvet dresses, or even as Santa himself. There is no real dress code to any holiday party (unless it is themed) so don’t be afraid to break away from the traditional red, green, and gold attire. It’s more fun to be unpredictable!
The essential to any Fashionista’s wardrobe is a sweater, especially around this time of year. It can be a cropped sweater, a sweater dress, or a turtleneck. The great thing about them is that they come in a huge variety. This Fashionista chose a cropped, nude sweater for her holiday festivities paired perfectly with a thigh-high pair of boots over a simple pair of blue jeans. What makes this outfit different from the rest is that she chose to dress it up with an array of jewelry and the boots managed to spice up the look. The biggest trend coming from 2016 on my campus are the thigh-high boots because they can be worn with anything and effortlessly translate from day to night outfits.
This outfit can be altered in so many ways to fit the specific look trying to be achieved. Additional holiday jewelry and accessories can be worn to add some extra holiday cheer! This look can achieved with only three items of clothing, yet it can be worn 1,000 different ways.
Stay festive and stay #RAD, fellow Fashionistas/os! Happy Holidays!
