Being a boy has to be rough. First off, no makeup (usually). How can you express all the excitement you have for an event without getting ready for it for HOURS before hand? Which is why I’m so excited for this Fashionisto’s outfit! Although he did profess that it didn’t take him hours, he pulled together all of his excitement for his technological internship in a simple yet fashionable look.
Part of the reason this is so RAD is because he wore pink. I know this seems silly, but even in 2015 a few guys won’t wear a color that is traditionally “a girl color.” But, his skin tone is a creamy color that makes pink perfect for him. Plus, button-downs are professional and stylish and look good on most Fashionistos.
Next, his belt. The teeny penguin on his belt gives it a pop of fun, and a little uniqueness while still being professional and stylish. The silver makes the belt stand out, while the black band keeps the belt in line with the rest of his outfit, providing a pretty obvious contrast to his pink shirt.
And, of course, his shoes/socks combination. Normally, I’m not an advocate of Sperry Top-Siders (or tucking your pants into your socks), but it really completes the look. The black socks make it look like his pants just get tighter at the end, and show off his blue shoes (if only they were suede…). The outfit is simple, modern and office approved.
One Simple Change: Date night directly after internship? Don’t panic! Throw on a graphic T-shirt under the button up and leave it open. It creates a classy, yet casual vibe that your date will love.
