The summer internship (noun): a necessary experience for every college students that provides a foundation for the rest of his or her career.
Whether you are making coffee runs or working on fulfilling projects at your internship, without a doubt you are gaining real-world experience and networking with professionals in your field.
This summer I am fortunate enough to intern in Philadelphia, a city full of culture and opportunities (yes, that was a shameless Philly plug). On my lunch break, I spotted this Fashionista and I couldn’t help but be drawn to her pants, yes her pants!
After talking with her I learned that she is a graphic design intern and works in a casual office, so she doesn’t have to stick to a strict dress code. This gives her the freedom to express herself through her style while still maintaining a professional look. She shows off her personality by wearing bold patterned pants. To balance the striking pants she adds a navy blue top with a simple embroidered details along the neckline. For accessories, she continues to show off her personality by stacking her jewelry and wearing a unique bracelet. Then to finish the look off she wears a pair of sandals, which is the perfect addition to keep her cool in the summer heat.
One Simple Change: This outfit can be easily transformed to fit any occasion, whether it’s an after work networking event or running errands in the city. One thing I would add to our career-driven Fashionista is a cross-body bag that will allow any Fashionista to be hands-free and conquer any after work task.
