May is in full swing which mean can only mean graduation and/or summer vacation are upon us. Finding a job is something every college student or soon to be graduate is currently thinking about. Whether it be your first big kid job or just one to have this summer to make a little money, it can be hard. And if the hunt wasn’t stressful enough, preparing for an interview can be.
If you are anything like me, you freak out about saying the wrong thing or not answering the question you’ve been asked correctly during an interview. One thing I’ve learned that has helped me deal with the stress is to dress cute but comfortable. This Fashionista is a prime example of what to wear for an interview. You want to make sure to show off your own personal style but are comfortable in what you are wearing. This way you won’t be fussing with your look the whole time.
This Fashionista is sporting a striped sundress with navy blue and neon yellow stripes. She has paired her sundress with brown wedges, a black tote and simple accents of jewelry. Her look is very put together and appropriate for an interview. Helpful hint: if you are wearing shoes with some height, make sure they are comfortable and you feel confident you can walk around in them. This Fashionista’s look is simple, which is great for an interview. You don’t want to have to readjust your look every time you get up or sit down. A sundress similar to her’s is a great alternative when you aren’t don’t need to be too professional.
One Simple Change: Say you landed an internship after the interview and are told that professional business attire is exacted every day. Throw on a navy blazer with the sundress and a pair of nude heels.
