As the temperatures quickly plummet in the French capital, it’s becoming more and more necessary to bundle up, even if it’s just for the walk from the metro station to the library. On top of that, its obviously necessary to also be comfortable for a full day of hitting the books—while still maintaining the sense of style that is essentially an unwritten rule in the city of lights.
This Fashionisto pulls off all three requirements beautifully, staying warm while staying fashionable. His navy Volcom jacket keeps the look sleek, while also protecting from the nasty winds from the Seine. My favorite aspect of the jacket is the illusion of layers it creates, adding a small twist in the silhouette of the look. The gray sweater from Gap is an obvious staple piece in any Fashionisto’s wardrobe—stylish, versatile and above all warm. I always say that having a good sweater (or six) in a versatile color is the key to a good wardrobe. The blue jeans from Zanerobe adhere to the classic menswear look that dominates today, being slim-fitting, but still allowing room for movement. Finally, the classic Vans sneakers are never a bad choice, especially for a city lending to such a walking-heavy lifestyle. Clearly, this Fashionisto is ready to take on the city, and then take on the city.
