From staying up all night to last minute planning, presentations can often be stressful and exhausting. Still, presentations are often an occasion to dress up and I cherish every opportunity I have to dress up. It’s important to know how to dress for certain formal occasions and presentations. For example, interviews often require you to dress “business formal,” implying that you should wear a suit. Other occasions, such as a formal dinner, may recommend “business casual” attire. Business casual covers a wide range of dress, from relaxed blouses to elegant sweaters. There are often many in between categories too, such as “business smart” and “smart casual.” For a Fashionista, finding the perfect mix of professional and trendy can often be difficult, especially when there are so many different categories of dress to choose from.
For a laid back presentation, such as an informal speech, I would choose to do a dressy, business casual look. This Fashionista is dressed perfectly for a presentation. She chose to wear a fun, stylish black and white blazer, paired with flare dress pants. Her blazer is extremely form flattering and professional, while still showing off her style. Her pants accentuate the length of her legs. I love her blazer and was disheartened to know that she got it from a vintage shop a couple years ago. But fret not, because there are tons of cute blazers online, such as this one. She also sports a bright Indiana University watch, which adds a splash of color again the otherwise neutral ensemble. I personally love the look, this Fashionista is dressed for success!
One Simple Change: To add a little more flare for date night, trade your heels in for a pair of bright red pumps to match your watch! Everyone loves a dash of color and red pumps.
