Perhaps the best part of the winter season is snow. There is nothing better than going to sleep at night knowing that there is a slight chance of having classes canceled. Even if classes are not canceled, walking around a snowy campus personally brings me a sense of joy. The snow annoys most people because the weather is freezing and it makes traveling more difficult, but I think we can all agree that fresh snow always looks beautiful.
When it comes to dressing for the snow, it can be quite difficult. To start, I believe the most important part about appropriately dressing for the snow is picking the right footwear. This Fashionista chose to wear matte black Hunter boots. These rubber boots are great for both the snow and the rain because they keep your feet dry, however in the winter months, they do not always keep your feet warm. In order to fix this problem, it would be a smart idea to wear your favorite pair of boot socks. If you do not have a pair, Hunter specifically makes socks to fit both their tall and short boots!
The next most important thing to keep in mind dressing for a snowy day is your coat. Depending on the weather, there are several options. If it is still snowing and frigid outside, obviously wear a coat that will keep you warm and dry from the snow. In the case of this Fashionista, she chose to wear a black trench coat. A trench coat is a great staple piece to have in your closet because it is extremely versatile. Whether it is snowing, raining or sunny, it is always appropriate to wear a trench.
To top off the look, this Fashionista wore a pair of black jeans and accessorized with aviator sunglasses. It may seem like you only need to wear sunglasses in the summer months, however when there is snow on the ground on a sunny winter day, it can get extremely bright outside. Wearing a stylish pair of sunglasses is also one of the simplest ways to elevate your look. Overall, when dressing for the next snowy day, just remember it is important to wear the proper coat and shoes that will keep you comfortable throughout the day.
