Here in South Carolina, we don’t really get a normal fall season. The palm trees don’t change colors, and it stays pretty warm throughout the usual fall months.  When girls up north are already donning their over-sized sweaters and blanket scarves, we are attempting to make the switch from shorts to pants.  The campus fashion is all over the place, and it is easy to spot the girls eager to get into that cool weather style.  This puts us southern Fashionistas to the test to rock the fall fashions we love so much while keeping it wearable.
This CCU Fashionista had the right idea!  The key to a great southern fall outfit is layers, layers and more layers! She seamlessly combined classic fall elements with lightweight fabrics to create the perfect look!  I love that she decided to pair her vegan, leather jacket with a striped, sleeveless, turtleneck crop top. She successfully kept her chic, edgy style throughout her entire look right down to her moto-style boots and angel wing earrings.
The tank under the jacket was genius for this type of weather.  Wearing a jacket may be comfortable indoors, but walking around campus in the sun gets pretty hot!  By taking advantage of layers, she is able to take off her jacket when she needs to and still look put together and on trend.  Pairing anything with skinny jeans is always a chic option, but she kept it classic with a clean, dark wash pair. I also really liked how she kept it simple with solid pieces and let the striped top take the spotlight!  She is definitely on point and ready for a very fashionable season!
