Now that the Florida sun during this summer heat is coming at full strength, I’ve noticed a lot more skirts, shorts, and color in outfits across campus. Prints and patterns are my favorite way to draw more attention to a certain piece if bright colors aren’t something a Fashionista/o is fond of!
This Fashionista is a perfect example of how a classic print like black and white stripes on a more youthful cut, like a skin-tight crop top pairs nicely with a more muted color like army green. This buttoned skirt, in particular, is a great way to add more interest to an otherwise plain top. A high-waisted A-line skirt flatters her figure and makes her look slim and tall.
I love the practicality of this outfit because the colorful sneakers are a super comfortable option to wear with a skirt around campus. Walking from class to class can be a trek in itself, so opting for something that’s fashionable and comfortable is a must for college students all around.
As for accessories, sporting a pair of cute cat eye sunglasses is a must for sunny afternoons and instantly makes any outfit look more chic. I love this Fashionista’s pair in particular because the tortoise shell rim adds a fancier feel to the whole look and draws more interest to the unique frame of the sunglasses. Adding a super ’90s inspired choker keeps the whole outfit looking fun and youthful, which ties together the whole look. This is one of those outfits you can wear on the days you want to feel dressier at school, but don’t want to sacrifice comfort for.
