Spring has finally sprung in the east coast, and I couldn’t be happier! I believe what you wear says a lot about you, and spring is the perfect time and weather to express the fun side of yourself. We are currently on the cusp of the blazing summer heat and have finally closed the door on the winter brisk, so let’s have fun with our fashion!
This Fashionista has taken this advice very well! She is sporting the perfect casual spring outfit and dressed perfectly for the weather. Her cotton T-shirt dress is playful and kind of has a tomboy element to it that is carried on throughout the outfit. T-shirt dresses are going to be huge this summer simply because they can be worn during the day, with sneakers like this Fashionista or during a night out with heels.
Like I said before, the tomboy theme is carried on throughout this Fashionista’s outfit, especially in the jacket. This Fashionista paired her already casual T-shirt dress with a super chic leather jacket. The jacket has metal detailing and definitely adds an edge to the ensemble. Personally, I have a couple of leather jackets and think they are a great investment because they can be worn year round and are the perfect thing to cover your shoulders when you are spending a night out on the town. One can dress a leather jacket up or down; they are versatile and worth every penny!
Now for the accessories—this Fashionista accessorized with three key elements and one delegate item. To accompany the black leather jacket, she paired a wool hat and a textured tote. Hats are another great thing for spring and summer, mainly to block the sun but also to spice up your look. For her shoes, this Fashionista went for a pop of patterned print. She is rocking these sneakers so well that I might have to get myself a pair! I love the chunky white sole and the faux cheetah fur texture. Lastly, she added a couple of dainty necklaces to pull together the whole outfit. I love the necklaces separately but love them even more when they’re layered together.
One Simple Change: This is a great day outfit, but let’s say your friends invite you to a girl’s night out later tonight. Simply throw on a super fun black heel for an equally chic but more mature look.
