You know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers”? Well, I’m all about those May flowers, but can’t we just skip over the whole April showers part, unless it involves walking around campus in an outfit like this! Spring weather can be difficult to predict, but styling and dressing for spring doesn’t have to be so hard. One of my “keys to success” is layering in the spring. I love lightweight, knit cardigans because they’re perfect for throwing on when you get chilly, and you can take it off when it’s nice out and not look like you lost half your outfit!
This Fashionista’s look is perfect for transitioning to spring and can be worn anywhere, from heading to class to hanging out with friends. Its comfortable and laid back feel make it perfect for any casual occasion. She went with with a neutral colored cardigan and a pale pink T-shirt tied up in the front, with a pair of ripped jeans and a chunky brown belt. She chose to accessorize with gold accents, a turquoise and gold necklace, a floppy hat and a printed cross-body bag. I love the way she took a basic outfit—jeans and a T-shirt— and turned it into a chic and trendy spring look with the help of a cardigan, some accessories and a pastel color palette.
One Simple Change: Need to step it up a notch? Swap the jeans and basic T-shirt with a romper for a more structured, dressier, daytime look; it’s perfect for brunching it up with the gals. Don’t forget to accessorize, though!
