Spring is in the air! The sun is out, flowers are blooming, and college kids everywhere are thrilled to spend every moment they can being outside. Spring is my absolute favorite season, and it’s not just because finals are wrapping up, but rather because you can finally say bye-bye to those lackluster leggings and say hello to pastels, shorter hem-lines and charming cutouts. Spring is also a time when campus is saturated with style inspiration—everywhere you look you see someone sporting a new trend!
With no bulky coat to bough you down, you are no longer forced to plan your outfits around the weather. There are basically no constraints on what you can and can’t wear during the spring! Personally, I think that spring is the best season to experiment with new trends. Some of my favorites include patterned shift dresses, flowy skater skirts and of course long-sleeved rompers.
This Fashionista gives us a perfect and effortless spring look! She pairs a chambray flutter top with a solid black skater skirt. Usually pairing a flowy top with a flowy skirt doesn’t work; however, in this case it actually brings the outfit together and this Fashionista pulls it off really well! The denim top adds an element of variation to the outfit, giving it another textural component to this minimalistic outfit. To tie it all together, she adds a pair of strappy black sandals; the versatility of these sandals makes them a must-have staple for any spring wardrobe!
One Simple Change: If you’re looking for a more dressy look, add a few pieces of gold statement jewelry and you’re ready to go to brunch!
