The semester is kicking into full swing for most of us here at the University of Kentucky. The first of many exams have snuck up on us. We’re pretty much running on Starbucks and fighting the urge to binge watch Netflix daily at this point. But despite those struggles, we have our good days where we muster up the will power to study. On these days, of course we want to look and feel our very best! I found this Fashionista at my fav study spot around campus, and her effortless look immediately caught my eye.
Starting with the details, she was rocking the latest and greatest trend–the choker trend! But instead of sticking to a simple black choker, she put her own spin on it by wearing a thin, red leather cord wrapped around several times. I really love her variation on this sassy trend and how it added a splash of color to an otherwise tame color palette.
I like that she stuck to very classic pieces: dark skinny denim and a peasant top. Her adorable peasant top is super flowy, perfect for trudging across campus in the Kentucky humidity, and the tassels at the end of the long cords are an unexpected detail that give the top a whimsical and playful vibe. Lastly, she completes the look with woven sandals that are perfect for transitioning into fall.
As you begin cramming for your first exams, take a hint from this chica. Go grab some coffee, wear what makes you feel your sassiest yet comfiest and tackle those books. Good luck!
